Summer Activity Guide – Allerdale Libraries

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge starts on Saturday 13 July, it’s free, fun, and open to all children.

Children are encouraged to sign up to the challenge at their local library and read at least six library books over the summer holidays. Children will collect rewards and stickers as they read and receive a medal and certificate when they complete all six. All children who finish the challenge will also be entered into a draw to win a Kindle, kindly donated by the Cumberland Building Society.

For any children that aren’t a library member yet, it’s easy to join and it’s free.
